How we verify our partners, what certifications mean, and why we hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of others.
How We Verify Partners
Every shop in our partner index goes through documented desk research before it's listed: we read their site, verify their stated practices and certifications against the sources, and record the evidence. The research behind every listing is published — and if a shop tells us something is wrong, we fix or remove the listing the same day.
We're building towards scheduled re-verification and a full per-partner evidence register. Until that's actually running, we say so here instead of claiming it.
This isn't a badge we hand out. It's the floor — and we hold ourselves to it in public.

B-Corp
We're evaluating B Corp certification under B Lab's new standards. We haven't applied yet — when we do, we'll say so here, with the real application status. Thrive Market and Grove Collaborative are certified B Corps — marketplaces we admire and the bar we're building towards.
“Plastic-Free” + “Regenerative” — Why Both
We use two terms deliberately.
Plastic-free is what people search for. It's the entry point — the word that brings someone to the page.
Regenerative is what makes us different. Used as an environmental claim, EU Directive 2024/825 requires real substantiation behind it — which is exactly the game we want to play.
Together, they tell the full story: we aim to ship without plastic, and we curate for genuine restoration. We only call a claim verifiable when we can show you the evidence behind it.
