Regenerative shops in Germany.

11 vetted shops in Germany — each verified for genuine regenerative practice. We send you straight to the maker. No markup, no middlemen.

Germany sits at the heart of Europe's regenerative movement. From the Biokreis cooperatives of Bavaria to the zero-waste shops of Berlin, German consumers have long demanded transparency in what they buy. The country's strong organic certification landscape — led by Bioland, Demeter, and Naturland — sets a high bar that our curated partners meet and exceed.

Whether you're looking for bokashi composting systems, wild-fermented cultures, or sustainably grown seeds, these German shops are doing the work that matters. We vetted each one against our regenerative criteria so you can shop with confidence.

Wurmwelten.de

Germany

German worm-composting specialist selling composting worms from its own breeding operation, wormeries and bokashi supplies since 2005.

Why it passes our bar: Breeds its own composting worms ("Kompostwürmer aus eigener Zucht") and sells wormeries made from 100% recycled plastic, with the entire catalog built around closed-loop soil-building: kitchen waste in, worm humus and bokashi ferment out. Ships worms across the EU with published country rates and free cooling in summer, and the delivery-country (Lieferland) selector on its product pages lists Norway (Norwegen) among 29 countries — verified on the Plastia Bokashi Starter-Set page, which ships with 1 kg Bokashi Flocken. Supports NABU, Oxfam, Welthungerhilfe and Pro-Wurm.

SUPERWURM

Germany

A 25-year-old German worm farm selling its own composting worms, worm humus and vermicomposting gear direct.

Why it passes our bar: Breeds all worms on its own farm in North Rhine-Westphalia — running since 1998 and self-described as Germany's largest worm farm — rather than reselling: "Auf unserer Wurm-Farm züchten wir Riesen-Rotwürmer." Its TerraVerm worm humus turns organic waste into a "100% natürlich ... chemiefrei" soil improver the site says revitalizes depleted soils — regeneration of soil is the product itself, though no third-party certifications are named.

Fairment

Germany

Berlin fermentation company selling certified-organic live cultures and starter kits for kombucha, kefir, yogurt and sourdough.

Why it passes our bar: Cultures are certified organic and stated on each product page ('100% bio-zertifiziert', milk kefir grains 'zu 100% in Bio-Milch herangezuechtet'), with every batch independently tested for contaminants. The SCOBYs and kefir grains are living, self-propagating cultures — bought once and regrown indefinitely, a closed loop rather than a repurchase cycle — shipped via DHL GoGreen to 20+ European countries.

Edible Alchemy

Germany

Berlin fermentation school selling heritage starter cultures for yogurt, jun kombucha, kefir and other live ferments.

Why it passes our bar: Heritage cultures are sold explicitly as "a lifetime supply" — each batch re-inoculates the next indefinitely, a closed loop that replaces single-use starter packets and keeps traditional biodiverse strains (Filmjölk, crème fraîche, jun) in circulation. An independent Berlin fermentation-education company (workshops, Bacteria Bar) that packs and posts its own live cultures, timing all shipments for Wednesdays so cultures never sit in weekend post.

Linen Lounge (linen.eu)

Germany

Independent Frankfurt-based shop selling made-to-order hemp and linen bedding woven by the 185-year-old Austrian Vieböck mill.

Why it passes our bar: The Vieböck hemp bedding is "double certified with GOTS and IVN BEST", woven exclusively at the Helfenberg mill in Austria, and "treated purely mechanically" with no chemical finishing. The site states the hemp "grows without pesticides, requires almost no irrigation and binds more CO₂", and the fabric is naturally undyed — the colour comes from the fibre itself.
