Every week our vetting pipeline processes a fresh batch of candidate shops against the same standard: real e-commerce infrastructure, transparent business registration, verifiable regenerative credentials, and products that are genuinely restorative rather than simply “less bad.” This week three passed. Three very different shops, from three different countries, in three different categories — but each one held up to the scrutiny we apply to every entry on the Grown. partner index.
This is the batch we are writing about today: **everdrop** (circular refill laundry from Munich), **Marcel’s Green Soap** (eco soaps and home clean from Haarlem), and **Tomorrow Denim** (certified sustainable denim from Copenhagen).
## What We Verify Before a Shop Makes the Index
Before any shop gets listed, we run the same documented desk research: we fetch the shop’s live site, confirm a real checkout (not a placeholder or a pre-order page), read their shipping policy end to end, and check every regenerative credential they claim against an authoritative source — the B Lab directory for B Corps, the EU Ecolabel (ECAT) database for EU Ecolabels, the certification body’s directory for Nordic Swan and GOTS, and so on. Where a claim could not be verified, we drop it from the listing. This is not a marketing exercise — the goal is to give you a partner index where every claim on the page can be traced back to something real.
All three shops below passed that check. The evidence for each is documented in the Grown. evidence register, and every credential below is drawn directly from what the shop published and what the certification body confirms.
## everdrop — Circular Refill Laundry from Munich
everdrop is a Munich-based brand making eco laundry and home-clean detergent tabs and refills. The core idea is circular: instead of buying a plastic bottle of liquid detergent every few months, you buy a starter set once and then refill the same flacon (750 ml) or canister (2.5 L) with concentrated tabs. The packaging stays in your home, and the single-use plastic that would have wrapped every new bottle never gets manufactured in the first place.
### What We Verified
- **Certified B Corporation since May 2023.** The B Lab directory lists everdrop GmbH as a certified B Corporation, and the trademark notice appears on the company’s own site. This is not self-claimed — it is a third-party certification with an annual audit.
- **EU Ecolabel on 53 products.** The EU Ecolabel (ECAT) database confirms 53 licensed everdrop products under everdrop GmbH (VAT DE327673069). The EU Ecolabel is one of the strictest voluntary product certifications in the EU, with criteria set by independent expert panels and monitored by the European Commission.
- **Published own LCA.** everdrop publishes its own Ökobilanz (lifecycle assessment) on the product page, which states up to 92% less CO2 and up to 88% less water per unit compared with conventional liquid detergent. We quote the company’s own published figures here; we have not independently re-run the LCA, so treat them as the company’s claims.
- **Impact tracker with stated methodology.** The company maintains an impact tracker with an accounting methodology it has made public — a level of transparency that most “sustainable” detergent brands do not offer.
- **Live checkout.** The Universal Detergent product page returns HTTP 200 with a functioning add-to-cart flow. The shop is actively selling, not a placeholder.

## Marcel’s Green Soap — Eco Soaps and Home Clean from Haarlem
Marcel’s Green Soap is a Dutch direct-to-consumer brand from Haarlem, selling eco soaps, personal care, and home-clean products. The brand is also stocked in Albert Heijn and Kruidvat retail across the Netherlands, so the products are not just an online catalogue — they are shelf products in two of the country’s largest grocery and drugstore chains.
### What We Verified
- **EU Ecolabel on 8 products.** The EU Ecolabel (ECAT) database confirms 8 licensed products under The Green Soap Company B.V. (VAT NL855693873B01).
- **V-Label (vegan).** The V-Label is the recognised vegan certification in the Benelux region. It appears on the brand’s certifications page and is independently audited.
- **AllergyCertified (0% line).** The 0% sub-line carries the AllergyCertified mark, an independent certification for products free from common allergens. This matters if you or a family member has sensitive skin.
- **FSC paper packaging and Green Key approval.** The paper packaging carries the FSC chain-of-custody mark, and the wash and clean product line is Green Key approved.
- **A.I.S.E. Charter for Sustainable Cleaning 2020+.** The brand is a member of the A.I.S.E. Charter, a European industry commitment to reducing the environmental impact of cleaning products.
- **CO2-neutral delivery in NL and BE.** The shipping policy confirms CO2-neutral delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium via PostNL/DHL, with international delivery via DHL.
- **B Corp status: unverified.** The brand’s site has a B Corp section, but it is definitional only — there is no B Lab directory listing for Marcel’s Green Soap. We do not claim B Corp status for them. This is the kind of detail our vetting process is designed to catch.
- **Live checkout.** The product API returns 30 products with prices. The shop is actively selling.

## Tomorrow Denim — Certified Sustainable Denim from Copenhagen
Tomorrow Denim launched in Copenhagen in 2018 and positions itself as a certified sustainable denim brand. Denim is one of the most water- and energy-intensive categories in fashion — a single pair of jeans can require 7,000 litres of water across its supply chain — so the certification bar here matters more than almost anywhere else in our index.
### What We Verified
- **EU Ecolabel on 352 licensed textile products.** The ECAT database confirms 352 licensed textile products under Pieszak ApS (VAT DK32772498). This is one of the largest EU Ecolabel footprints we have seen on a single brand in the index.
- **Nordic Swan Ecolabel.** The Nordic Swan is one of the world’s oldest and strictest government-backed environmental labels, covering design, materials, chemical content, and end-of-life.
- **GOTS + OCS 100 100% organic cotton.** The cotton in their garments is GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) and OCS 100-certified (Organic Content Standard) — both independently audited.
- **Pre-consumer recycled cotton and recycled PET polyester.** A share of the blend is pre-consumer recycled cotton and recycled PET, which diverts material from the virgin supply chain.
- **Ozone wash and closed-loop wastewater.** The washing process uses ozone (rather than chlorine) for brightening, and the wastewater is closed-loop and reused for irrigation.
- **Supplier solar, FSC paper, OEKO-TEX 100 hardware.** The supplier base uses solar energy, the packaging uses FSC paper, and the hardware (zips, buttons, rivets) is OEKO-TEX 100 certified.
- **100% traceable, audited supplier list.** The company publishes a supplier list that it describes as 100% traceable and audited — a level of supply-chain transparency that is still rare in fashion.
- **Live checkout.** The product API returns 30 products with prices in DKK. The shop is actively selling, with free shipping within Denmark and 50 DKK outside Denmark via GLS (1–4 days).

## Why This Matters for the Grown. Index
These three entries each close a different gap in the index. **everdrop** brings a certified circular-refill model to home cleaning, **Marcel’s Green Soap** adds a vegan, allergy-certified Benelux option, and **Tomorrow Denim** is the most certification-dense denim entry we have vetted. Together, they widen the categories where you can find a genuinely verified alternative to the conventional option.
None of them are perfect. Some of the credentials we list are the company’s own published figures (the everdrop LCA, for example) rather than independent re-runs, and the B Corp section on Marcel’s Green Soap could not be verified against the B Lab directory, so we did not claim it. That is the point of the process: we list what we can evidence, we say plainly what we could not verify, and we drop the rest.
